Details:
For the Ceremony, my assistant and I
arrived at New Tribes Mission
headquarters in Sanford, FL about an
hour before the ceremony started to set
up and get some establishing shots of
the building, etc. One camera was on a
stationary tripod on the right side of
the room and the second camera was on a
tripod mounted on a dolly. The
dolly allowed the second camera to move
and follow the action as the father of
the bride and the bride walked down the
aisle. The stationary camera was
located to the front right of the room
to get the bagpipers that were playing
in the foyer of NTM.
For the Reception, which was held at
Covenant Community Church, I
captured all the major moments and a lot
of the crowd arriving and mingling.
I used a second unmanned camera during
the intros, toasts and cake cutting. The
lighting was excellent, in that it was
very bright, which means I didn't need
to add any on camera lighting. The
way the room was laid out, it was
difficult at times to get the groups
dancing, because there wasn't a lot of
room around the dance floor, but there
was plenty of room for the first dances
and slow dances.
